A former high school basketball player for Dr. Phillips High School and later a collegiate athlete at the University of Maine at Augusta, JoLock's career took a turn after an injury led him to transfer to the University of Central Florida, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sports and exercise science. However, instead of pursuing a traditional career path, he embraced entrepreneurship and music, using his art to tell raw and authentic stories from his life.
